Debit Card Phone Call ALERT – 6/8/2010
We have received calls that bank customers and non-customers have received calls stating their debit card has been de-activated, or will be de-activated. The caller is then asked for their debit card number and possibly a PIN number. Carolina Bank would not call and ask you for this information. Please do not give out this information if called, e-mailed, or by any other suspicious notification.
If you have given out this information, Carolina Bank recommends you call the bank and report this incident. Have your card de-activated and order a new one.
During business hours, you may contact the bank at 336-288-1898 or any office location. You may also report lost or stolen cards at 1-800-523-4175 after regular business hours or at any time.
